Trauma Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Emergency nurses provide general nursing care and manage less critically ill and injured patients. They triage patients, so that those with the most urgent problems are seen first. 
Salary: 
The median annual wage for a nurse working in the hospital 
setting was $68,450
Education:
Graduate from a two- year program for an associate’s degree in nursing, a three-year program for a diploma in nursing (usually hospital-based), or a four-year college or university program leading to a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Demand for this particular career:
 Nursing employment will grow at a rate of 16 percent through 2024

Reflection:
Great career option but personally i would feel horrible if i were 
to find out someone i attended was dead. This career requires a lot 
of pressure dealing with patients in critical condition and i 
don't think i would be up for the challenge.

Sports Medicine

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Athletic trainers work with people of all ages and all skill levels, from 
young children to soldiers and professional athletes. Athletic trainers are usually one of the first healthcare providers on the scene when injuries occur on the field. 
Salary: 
The median annual wage for athletic trainers is $45,630.
Education: 
Athletic trainers need at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited 
college or university. Master's degree programs are also common, and may be preferred by some employers. Degree programs have classroom and clinical components, including science and health-related courses, such as biology, anatomy, physiology, and nutrition.
Demand for this particular career:
 Employment of athletic trainers is projected to grow 22 percent over the next ten years

Reflection:Good career and i wouldn't mind studying to become a  sports doctor. Although the pay isn't the highest tis is definitely something i would take into consideration.

Speech Pathologist

Duties and Responsibilities: 
   Speech-language pathologists work with patients who have problems with speech. Their patients may be unable to speak at all or they may speak with difficulty or have rhythm and fluency problems, such as stuttering. They may work with those who are unable to understand language or with people who have voice disorders, such as inappropriate pitch or a harsh voice.

Salary: 
        The median annual wage for speech-language pathologists was $69,870 in May 2012.

Education: 
Speech-language pathologists typically need at least a master’s degree. They must be licensed in most states; requirements vary by state

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Social workers help people cope with challenges in their lives. A bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) is the most common requirement for entry-level positions. However, some employers may hire workers who have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as psychology or sociology.

X-Ray Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: 
You may use portable x-ray equipment to conduct x-rays in patients' hospital rooms. You may work in a hospitals or medical center's radiology department or work in emergency rooms.

Salary: 
$74,980 per year 

Education: 
Individuals interested in this growing field need an associate's degree in radiology as well as state licensure to gain employment. Requirements for licensure vary by state. They also can earn voluntary certification through the American Registry of Radio-logic Technologists

Demand for this particular career: 
Overall employment of radio-logic and MRI technologists is
 projected to grow 13 percent from 2016 to 2026

This is a great career but i feel the pay is low for the amount of 
time it takes to get in to the field. The demand is 13 percent meaningthat 87% of the people who attempt to get into 
this field do not make it. 
Although this career is very fascinating  it does not interest me.

Pulmonary Medical Physician

Duties and Responsibilities: 
A pulmonologist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of 
pulmonary (lung) conditions and diseases of the chest, particularly pneumonia, 
asthma, tuberculosis, emphysema, and complicated chest infections.

Salary:

Education: 
Education and training. In the United States, pulmonologists are physicians who, after 
receiving a medical degree (MD or DO), complete residency training in internal medicine, followed by at least two additional years of subspeciality fellowship training in pulmonology.

Demand for this particular career:
 The number of jobs for physicians is expected to grow by 18 percent from 2012 to 2022

Reflection: 
             This is an outstanding career that pays plenty but i do not picture myself doing this for the rest of my life. Although the pay is high as well as the demand, it does not catch my 
attention.

In order to become a licensed clinical psychologist, you need an undergraduate degree (4 to 5 years of college) plus a doctorate in psychology (4 to 7 years of graduate school).

Reflection:

  This is a great career. this is something personally I would like  doing. Although i am not heavily informed about this career it seems like a career i should definitely keep in mind. The pay is good, the demand isn't too high sadly it requires a lot of school.

Reflection:
Although this is a great career, the pay is amazing education is reasonable and the
 demand isn't to high or too low. I don't feel like specializing in feet would be a good idea.
I am not interested in this what so ever. Maybe as years go by i may take it into consideration
but for now i am not interested.

 area. As a plastic surgeon, you may perform two types of surgery: cosmetic surgery 
to improve appearance and reconstructive surgery to correct appearance after an
 injury or to improve bodily function

Salary:
the firm found a median salary of $273,000 per year for first-year plastic surgeons. 
The survey switches from median to average incomes for surgeons at the six-year mark

Education:
After completing a bachelor's degree program, future plastic surgeons must earn a Doctor of Medicine  or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited medical school. A doctor 
of medicine program includes four years of education and training.

Demand for this particular career: 
 employment opportunities for surgeons and other 
physicians were expected to grow by 14% over the 2014-2024 decade

This is a great career choice. Pays well, not too much school, and the demand is good. Unfortunately i am not interested in this career but it is definitely a career to take into consideration.
