of pressure dealing with patients in critical condition and i
don't think i would be up for the challenge.

"When you look in the mirror you should be able to see a a person that leads by example and does the right thing."

 -Andy Garcia

This quote represents much more than just looking at the mirror, it is a figure of speech to remember never to choose the wrong because all the hard work throughout your life will soon be a format to thank yourself and others who helped you on your journey to success. It is important to always do what you believe is the right thing to do. One thing some people never do is wake up every morning look in the mirror and just take a moment to look at youself and think what can make you a better person.

Memorial Day

1. Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.

2. Memorial Day 2018 occurs on Monday, May 28. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971.

3. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades

5. We honor all the people who fought in the war. We should also honor the innocent people who have died in combat.

6. i have a food gathering with my peers and we send our deepest regards for those who have served for our country.

7. We should hold to the true meaning of this day. Alas, for too many Americans, Memorial Day has come to mean nothing more than another three-day weekend, albeit the one on which the beaches open, signifying the beginning of summer. Unfortunately, the tendency to see the holiday as merely an opportunity to attend a weekend cook-out obscures even the vestiges of what the day was meant to observe: a solemn time, serving both as catharsis for those who fought and survived, and to ensure that those who follow will not forget the sacrifice of those who died that the American Republic and the principles that sustain it, might live. Some examples might help us to understand what this really means.

"When a deep injury is done to us, we never recover until we forgive."
-Alan Paton
This is an outstanding statement by our very own Alan Paton. This statement expresses the benefits of forgiving. Personally i believe you should forgive no matter what happened, When someone spends there whole life reminiscing on something someone did it ruins the happiness within that person. A perfect example of forgiving was the video shown in class, although the reckless driver took 2 lives away the parents forgave him and reduced his trial to only 12 years. This comes to show that anyone can forgive no matter what happened.

"Dare to stand alone . Stand up for what is right, even if you stand alone."

-Thomas S. Monson

This is an outstanding quote by the great Thomas S. Monson. He gives us his opinion on standing alone. He would much rather do things himself then follow the crowds. An example of this is when friends invite you out to do things you are not supposed to do like drugs or alcohol and you have to choose either follow he crowd and try to fit in or stay home and stand alone doing the right thing. Personally i would rather stand alone than in bad company, choosing the right should be a priority to everyone if the want to be successful in life.

" I would prefer to fail with honor than win by cheating."

-Sophocles

Great statement. it expresses much more than just winning and losing. it expresses to have good moral values and to choose right from wrong. Not everyone can stand losing but if you did it honorable with all your effort and didn't cheat it brings you one step closer to success. An example of failing with honor is Malik Stewart, he was willing to step up after he lost and he went to congratulate his opponent and wish the best for his sick father. Not everyone has the courage to choose the right but i challenge you to choose the right!

"If I've got correct goals/ and if i keep pursuing them the best way i know how, everything else falls into line. if i do the right thing right, i'm going to succeed."

-Dan Dierdorf

This is an outstanding statement by the NFL HoF Dan Dierdorf. personally I believe as long as one has goals there is always something to strive for, the only thing is that one should have goals that push them to become a better person. The goals should be CTR approved. An example of a goal that will help strive for greatness is becoming a better athlete, waking up every single day and wanting to improve. An example of a goal not to set is to do drugs, no one should wake up and want the choose the wrong.

"The most important thing you will ever have is good values"

      -Dennis Prager

This is an outstanding statement by Mr. Prager. He expresses a lot on why he feels good moral values are crucial for a person to have. Personally i feel morals will be needed for the rest of your life so without them you will not be a good person. The example that Mr. Prager gave was doing what you feel like doing vs. doing what you know is right. A CTR person will always have good moral values because they are promising to achieve greatness correctly without cheating or lying.

"The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self esteem."

Dr. Laura Schlessinger

This is an outstanding statement by Dr. Schlessinger expressing the benefits of Choosing the right. I believe if someone wants something in return for there actions it wasn't voluntary. If someone does something it should be something done because they wanted to not because they were asked to. In the long term it will be beneficial because you will be trustworthy and honest! So with that being said choose the right 24/7 in order for you to become a better person.

"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing."

-Theodore Roosevelt

This is a great statement by Theodore Roosevelt. One thing you can count on to give you good results is choosing the right. There has been many examples shown of choosing the right, the short term gain is not worth the long term gain. Not everyone can do the right thing at the right time but those who do will forever be granted the reputation of a CTR person!

Student Success Statement  "There is nothing gained by doing wrong."

                    -Wilford Woodruff

This is an outstanding Statement by Wilford Woodruff. He expresses his thoughts on choosing the wrong. I feel if we know we never get anything good off of choosing the wrong why continue to do it. People would think this common sense but many people continue to disrespect others or talk back, some arguments are started that should be avoided. I feel that if the parents do not regulate there children they will feel it is okay to choose the wrong not because they want to but because they think it is okay to do so. The only way we can help fix this is by showing kids choosing the wrong will only cause trouble and hardships.

"It's A GREAT MOMENT when someone has character to set up and do the right thing at the right time."

- Coach Pam Knox

This is an inspiring quote by the former softball coach at the University of Western Oregon. She expresses a lot in so little amount of words. An example of doing the right thing at the right time would be helping someone out when they are in need be the better person and go out and help. Although it may seem hard to help it really isn't it just takes a person willing to make a change. It will make you nervous but that is because you are not accustomed to helping strangers.
